About the Role:
FLORAL TRADE DISTRIBUTORS LLC is looking for dedicated Class A CDL Team Drivers to join our growing operation out of Vista, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to hit the road with a co-driver, as part of a dynamic distribution team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A tractor-trailer sleeper as part of a two-driver team to ensure timely deliveries
- Transport floral and perishable freight safely while maintaining product integrity
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate driver logs using ELD systems and adhere to HOS regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or issues
- Load and unload freight as needed, ensuring proper handling of delicate floral cargo
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL license required
- Must be 25 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Must be willing and able to drive as part of a team (co-driving experience preferred)
- Clean MVR and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with ELD devices and DOT/FMCSA compliance
- Experience hauling perishable or temperature-sensitive freight is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with a co-driver

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Chip and Ricardo met while selling flowers at the farm level in southern California. Ricardo grew up through the field ranks on the farming side of the industry and Chip was raised up in a family wholesale Floral business. The two together created a combination of understanding the needs of both the products being shipped and the customer's satisfaction from the time the products are growing in the field to the time they are being enjoyed by the end consumer. Ricardo and Chip started out with just a rental box truck taking turns driving and consolidating products up and down the central coast of California to San Diego.
Ten years later the company has blossomed into one of the leading and go-to logistic companies on the west coast for the commercial cut flower industry.
